| Original local hero and loyal one club man. As well as his long and distinguished service to The Town he won five full England caps and numerous amatuer international caps. The pinnicle of his career was being part of the Great Britain team that won the football gold medal in the 1908 Olympic Games. His England caps can be seen in the trophy cabinet that is in the Eric Morecambe Suite. |
