The Luton Town
Legends Website
|
| In putting together anything like this, be it a website or even perhaps a book it is so difficult to decide which players one should feature. So who or what is a legend? According to the Cambridge English dictionary a legend is "someone or something very famous and admired, usually because of their ability in a particular area:" So I suppose if you are a Luton Town supporter these players are all famous. If you are not a Luton Town supporter then the chances are you may never have heard of some of them. Most of the players featured served the club for many years and with great distinction. The likes of Bob Morton, Gordon Turner, Brian Stein and Ricky Hill who all played over 400 games for the club. Bob Hawkes who played over 350. Then there are the likes of Ernie Simms, Hugh Billington and Malcolm MacDonald who played less than 100 Football League matches for the club. They all have their place on this website |
